Cookie & Tracking Policy
This page explains how engage suite. uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our website, marketing pages, and web application.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how people use the site. We also use local storage, session storage, and third-party scripts that operate similarly.
Cookie categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core features such as login, CSRF protection, session continuity, and load balancing. Cannot be disabled without breaking the service. | `session_id`, `oauth_state`, security tokens created when you start Google sign-in. | Session-only (deleted when browser closes) or up to 24 hours. |
| Preferences | Remember CTA dismissals, selected plans, or locale choices on the marketing site. | `pricing_plan_preference`, banner dismissal flags. | Up to 12 months unless you clear them sooner. |
| Performance & analytics | Measure traffic, understand feature usage, and debug performance. Only set after you consent via the cookie banner. | Privacy-friendly analytics IDs or tools such as Plausible/Matomo (if enabled). | Between 1 minute and 13 months depending on the provider. |
| Support & communications | Power chat widgets, incident notices, or A/B tests. Enabled only when you interact with those components. | Helpdesk session tokens, feature flagging cookies. | Session-only or as defined by the vendor’s policy. |
| Payments | Stripe uses its own cookies on checkout pages to detect fraud and remember preferences. | `__stripe_mid`, `__stripe_sid` (set directly by Stripe). | 1 year for `__stripe_mid`, 30 minutes for `__stripe_sid`. |
Consent management
When you first visit our site from the EU/EEA or UK, we display a banner allowing you to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. You can revisit your choices via the banner’s “Cookie settings” link or adjust your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the app from functioning.
Third-party cookies
Some features embed content or scripts from third parties (e.g., Stripe, analytics providers). These parties may set their own cookies when their code loads. We vet each vendor, ensure appropriate data processing agreements, and only enable them after you opt in, except where required for security (e.g., Stripe fraud detection).
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete cookies or block future ones through your browser’s settings. Instructions are available from Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge support resources. If you delete cookies, your saved preferences (including opt-out choices) will be lost and you will need to set them again.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. We currently do not respond to DNT signals because there is no industry standard, but we continue to evaluate emerging frameworks.
Updates
We review this policy whenever we introduce new vendors or cookies. Material changes will be communicated through the banner or via email for logged-in customers. The “last updated” date will always reflect the latest version.
